©2014 56" x 65" This pieced scrap quilt was designed to showcase the fabrics in Judie Rothermel's Enduring Legacies line for Marcus Fabrics that features reproductions of prints from antique quilts in the Sturbridge Museum. Use those or your favorite fabrics to create the 30 six-inch star blocks and 20 alternate rail fence setting blocks. Some Civil War battles, such as those fought at Antietam and Gettysburg, were fought at the crossroads of major highways. Families and communities were split apart as the Union and Confederate armies tried to gain control of these arteries to move their soldiers and supplies.
