©2010 43" x 53" Many of my patterns are named for family members and friends. My Dear Friends pattern was named for a quilt I made for my dear friend Connie’s birthday a few years ago. Sadly, Lilies for Connie is named in memory of her unexpected passing in February. Lilies were one of Connie’s favorite flowers. More importantly, her new baby granddaughter, born a few months earlier, is named Lily. This quilt is a tribute to Connie, a kind and gentle woman, loved and greatly missed by her quilting friends. I used all of the fabrics in Judie Rothermel's Civil War Chronicles line for the 5-inch pieced blocks that are easily made using "sew and flip" corners.
